Maureen LaBarrie has over 13 years of sales and business development expertise, most recently serving as a sales leader for one of the beauty industry’s top privately-owned suppliers. Her responsibilities included increasing sales with distributors, building customer relationships, client education, and marketing across the U.S.
While new to the recruiting industry, Maureen’s background in consumer sales adds a new dimension of expertise to TurningPoint’s sales and marketing practice. Her direct experience in sales and ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships complements the TurningPoint philosophy of conducting in-depth customized searches to identify top-notch, high-performing talent to guarantee quality matches for both the employer and the candidate.
Her duties include sourcing and screening new candidates, presenting candidates to clients and negotiating terms of the offer, identifying and contacting clients as well as marketing candidates to prospective companies.
Maureen is originally from Orange County. After spending one year living in New York City for a new job, she decided to settle in San Diego. Prior to entering the sales field, she spent several years as a teacher in Orange County. Maureen is a graduate of the University of San Diego, where she studied Liberal Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in human development.
