TurningPoint Executive Search Completes Record Year, Launches TalentAccess22

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA, January 31st, 2015 – After a record 2013 that saw revenues expand by 40%, TurningPoint Executive Search announced the completion of another record year. “We couldn’t be more pleased with our 2014 results” explains Ken Schmitt, Founder and President of TurningPoint. “With the unemployment rate coming down below 5.5% throughout Southern California, our focus on placing top notch sales, marketing and operations professionals continued to pay dividends. Our revenues increased by just over 25%, while the number of placements also hit another new high”. 2014 saw a variety of placements, as Schmitt and the TurningPoint team partnered with many new clients in the technology, manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, hospitality and professional services sectors, in addition to handling multiple follow on searches for their legacy clients throughout San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles.

“Surprisingly, there are very few firms in the southern California region, specializing in sales and marketing recruiting. Our team effectively tapped into the region’s top talent, in order to help our clients upgrade and expand their departments, by leveraging our extensive network of sales, marketing and operations candidates.” Having grown the team to 6 professionals, including researchers, recruiters, and digital marketing experts, Schmitt prides himself on maintaining a 93% fill ratio.

2014 also saw the launch of a new solution dubbed TalentAccess. “Last year, we received a number of calls from clients looking to add talent with less tenure than our standard placements of 10+ years. However, these businesses could not justify conducting a full retained search to hire a $50k or $60k salesperson.” Schmitt explains. The result was the development of a new solution that allows clients to tap into TurningPoint’s extensive pool of junior and mid-level talent, receiving a long list of pre-screened, qualified candidates, for a one time, flat fee. “The response has been very strong, particularly from start-ups and smaller organizations, and we expect this solution to gain even more momentum in 2015.”
