Location: Candidate needs to be located in the West Coast
Our client is looking for a highly driven Business Development Executive in the Southern California area. The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving sales by developing client relationships with new clients that will lead to new business; creating strategies to penetrate the marketplace; and building strong relationships with the internal delivery and leadership teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing business at new clients in Southern California utilizing a consultative approach to identify and evaluate client needs, and opportunities for the company to help develop and implement solutions
- Execution against business development objectives, margin goals, and business strategies
- Understanding of the company’s services offerings and the market for such offerings within the region
- Preparation and delivery of accurate and timely documents such as RFPs, SOWs and MSAs
- Staying well informed on industry changes, participate where possible in professional organizations directly involved in the market
- Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline within our CRM system
- Assisting in the accuracy and timeliness of engagement paperwork and invoices
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of business experience with business development/sales of technology professional services (Must have one or more of the following: Software development, management consulting, technology solutions consulting, or project based staff augmentation)
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for building a business, exhibiting a personal sense of urgency and capacity to overcome obstacles
- Experienced in building relationships with CXOs and business decision-makers
- Passionate about sales and technology and skilled at leading teams through complex technology solution sales
- An entrepreneurial individual who thrives on, and has demonstrated the ability to build and grow from the ground up a successful and dynamic practice
- Ability to respond effectively and quickly to clients' needs and issues
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate complex concepts/business issues verbally and in writing to clients, consultants and management
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and a proven ability to develop business relationships
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Outstanding ability to work within a team sales environment
- Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation) and leadership skills required; strong command of the English language
- Proven ability to successfully interface with executives, management and navigating organizational structures and hierarchy’s
- Above-average ability to use the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); email software such as Outlook; and sales tracking software (CRM, Sales force etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail, follow-up, and organization skills
